My mother had dementia for years and then suffered a major stroke on top of that which took her dominant right side and her speech. She thankfully regained her ability to carefully walk. Since we had promised her years earlier that we wouldn’t move her in with us; we found a lovely large scale facility to move her into. But she got lost in the mix and she shut down. We then found close by private one-on-one care and that also did not work out well. I was given a referral to Dana from a coworker that had her neighbors at Cedar View and they loved it. The moment I walked in with Mom I knew I found the sweet spot. The care at Cedar View is personal and professional. They doted on Mom but also gave her needed space. Even though they had to assist with feeding at times (as she had to use her left hand,) they always honored her dignity. There are other residents to connect with but not too many where there are cliches and they feel invisible. The house is delightfully homey, not institutionalized. With a lovely pond with a fountain and chickens to watch from the recliners. I was always kept updated and the staff worked well with both Mom and the family. I knew they were taking great care of her just by her demeanor since she didn’t have understandable words nor recall. The true realization of the depth of love that was shared there came after she passed. One of her nurses sat down with me and shared stories and videos of she and Mom laughing and joking around at different times throughout her stay there. It brought me such joy and peace to know that her final stop was a beautiful one. I’m forever grateful for Dana and her team at Cedar View. They were a bright light in a dark and hard season for all of us. I would absolutely and unequivocally refer everyone and anyone to this care facility. They were a true God send for us. God bless Cedars View as they continue to serve our loved ones like their own.

My mom has been here for 3 1/2 years. They take great care of her and she tells me often she wouldn’t want to be anyplace else. The staff is kind and caring, they keep me up to date and let me know if anything is needed. The residence is always clean and friendly to be in when I visit. I would recommend this home to anyone and feel I got lucky to find it for my mom.

My mom has been a resident of Cedar View Senior Care for over a year now and we are so pleased with the care Dana and her staff provide. All of my Moms needs are met and her health has improved during her time there. Communication between myself and the Staff has always been great and I know any changes in mom’s behavior or health will be relayed to me immediately. The home is very warm and inviting and the grounds are beautiful also. Mom especially enjoys the beautiful roses. Darsie Slawson
