My mother has advanced dementia, limited mobility, and cannot care for her needs in any way. When she could no longer live in her assisted living facility, I had to start the daunting process of finding a place where she had continuous care. The nursing facility she was at was an option, but then I discovered that private adult homes were about the same expense. It was suggested by my mom's skilled nursing facility to contact Longview Adult Family Home, and I scheduled a meeting with the owner, Damaris. As soon as I walked into her warm and inviting home and met Damaris, the weight lifted off my shoulders. I saw the beautiful, private bedroom my mom would occupy and had all my questions answered. Damaris went that very day to meet my mother at the skilled nursing facility, which made my mom comfortable. She has now lived at Longview Adult Family Home since March 2024 and I can't say enough good about this wonderful home. From beautiful, peaceful surroundings to delicious meals and especially, the loving environment and superb care - I could want nothing more for the care of my mom during this final, difficult phase of her life.

Our family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care our parents received at Longview Adult Family Home. In their final chapter, they were surrounded not only by skilled caregivers, but by genuine warmth, compassion, and respect. From the very beginning, we felt at peace knowing they were in a home where their dignity and comfort were a true priority. The staff treated them--and us--like extended family. The home was always clean and bright. It is never easy to say goodbye, but we found comfort in knowing they were safe, loved, and well cared for. We will carry deep gratitude in our hearts for the grace and dedication of the team in this home.

I chose the Longview Adult Family Home for my mother's end of life hospice care. After meeting Damaris online with a video call I immediately felt that my mother would be in the most capable hands possible and in a very pleasant environment as well Damaris husband and children are all part of the mix and I knew my mom would like it. Damaris handled a slew of problems when the hospital did not drop off my mom with her pain under control and dressed only in a sheet... Damaris thought about every small detail to make my mom more comfortable... When I mentioned my mom loved ice cream Damaris was helping her eat ice cream in just minutes it turned out to be her last meal. My mom passed away after only 24 hours but Damaris was there and prayed with her. I personally believe God helped me find Damaris and the Longview Adult family home I can't recommend them highly enough.

My father was placed here in February . I could not ask for a nicer ,cleaner , caring environment . As a former RN I was impressed with their medical acumen and attention to detail . Longview AFH will impress from the home cooking to the loving family involvement . Damaris is professional and communicates readily as needs arise always trying to make sure my father is comfortable and has what he needs . I don’t worry anymore . He has found his forever home .
