Unique Care AFH is a state-licensed adult family home providing personalized senior care in a warm, residential setting. Our home is designed for adults age 65 and older who are looking for quality care, companionship, added security, and support with daily living while enjoying the comfort of a smaller, non-institutional environment.
As a privately operated adult family home, Unique Care AFH is owned and operated by trained and certified caregivers who are committed to supporting each resident’s health, nutrition, safety, comfort, and overall well-being. Our small-home setting allows us to provide individualized attention and build meaningful relationships with the people we serve.
We welcome seniors who may no longer be able to live safely or independently because of medical, physical, cognitive, or other care needs. Our services are tailored to each resident and may include assistance with activities of daily living, medication support, meals and nutrition, companionship, rehabilitation support, memory care, and hospice care.
At Unique Care AFH, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive place where seniors can receive the care they need while continuing to feel at home.

We moved him from a large facility in another city. I wanted him to have a more personal relationship to his caregivers. Unique Care AFH has gone above and beyond anything we ever anticipated. First and foremost, we had safety issues in the previous location. This has never been a problem with Unique care. Not only is the staffing of high-quality, but they are limited so that all staff know my dad, and recognize any changes that come up, especially when there are medical things to be noted. When I first interview interviewed with Unique care, I arrived on a day that they were not expecting me because of a miscommunication between the two of us. So even un anticipated, the home was clean, the other residents appeared to be happy, and I was welcomed in. I like the engagement of the caregivers with my dad. They know his likes, his dislikes and his quirks. When there are distasteful things that happen like BM accidents, they treat him with pure kindness and understanding, and he never feels humiliated. I have witnessed other residents being upset or even cantankerous, and have always watched the caregivers treat each one of the residents with kindness, and tenderness and understanding. Above when there are things that come up, for my dad, for example, his dislike of certain things for meals, or trying to work with him when he says he wants to stay up, but it is obvious he needs to be in bed, they not only communicate with him well but they also communicate with me. They allow me to be as involved in decision-making and his daily care, as I want to be. The owners and the caregivers all feel like friends after my dad has been there for 2 1/2 years. There is NOTHING that I would change about this care home. I am continually impressed and grateful that we found this home.
